5 out of 5 stars Needs a few changes but a brilliant buy   March 17, 2007

When i opened the box and first saw the Sansa e250, i noticed how small it looked compared to the pictures on Amazon.co.uk - think Ipod Nano but slightly thicker. This makes it much easier to hold than a nano. The titanium backing is very hard-wearing and it looks great - more interesting than the now common ipod. Ignore what other people have said about the volume being too low unless you have hearing problems. I usually have it on three-quarter volume and it's good. One thing though, i will probably be replacing the standard earphones as the sound quality is good but not very special and they can be a little less than comfortable after long-periods if not in correct position. Another £10-£15 on earphones will sort this. If you want a radio, this is not the one to buy as it doesn't work here in the UK. The large screen is much better than the ipod nano's, which is dwarfed after looking at the Sansa. All the buttons and scroll wheel work in the same way as you'd expect. The 3 biggest advantages are the price (£59.99 compared to £90 for the 2gb nano), the simplicity of transferring tracks from the PC to the Sansa (drag and drop or sync with Windows Media Player 10) and the expandable memory (i'm just going to fill it and then buy a MICRO SD card when i need it). As long as the songs already have their names attached on the PC they will show up on the player. Great product.

5 out of 5 stars The Sansa e250 Knocks the Nano For Six !   June 9, 2006

This item was bought for my grand daughter. Having owned many cheaper iPods she was speechless when given this beautiful item. The e250 is on course to be a design classic. It is made of Titanium alloy, harder than steel. The jet black glossy front is gorgeous and highlights the high res colour screen perfectly (It reminds me of the high quality Panasonic TFT flat panel TV screens you can buy ~ this is a micro version). The UK version of this iPod doesn't have FM radio ~ which is a pity. It is fantastically quick downloading sound, photos and video clips via the supplied software. It's a shame that the expandable micro SD memory slot only allows music and NOT photos/video. However ~ the beautiful design, the functionality, the quality, the reassuring 'solidity' and delight of ownership will win many fans for this fantastic product. I already own Sandisk Compact Flash memory cards for my Canon EOS digital SLR. I have found that this device is of a similar high quality. Well done Sandisk!

I looked at several mp3 players and read various reviews before deciding to buy the Sansa e250. I also considered buying an Apple Ipod but they did not seem to be as well built and are now becoming a bit overpriced compared with other simlar spec units. I am happy to say my final choice was a good one and I can confidently recommend the Sansa e250 to anyone. I am delighted with mine. I would suggest buying a car or mains charger unit as having to recharge an MP3 player battery from a computer USB socket can be a pain when away from home.

5 out of 5 stars Th Best Value For Money!and the One to Get at the Moment!100% great "Perfect"   September 9, 2006

Sansa is the best value for money and media player out there!. I was interested in buying and Mp3 player especially as i am starting college and usually get bored of listening to the rattling of the buses for the 45 minutes i get there in so i decided i need to get some sort of Mp3/media Player , i was surfing the internet one day and just looking at peoples reviews and i looked at all mp3 players but was not impressed by what they had to offer for the price of them. I then came across the Sansa Mp3 player i was astonished at how cheap it was compared to other MP3 PLAYERS such as iPOD/Creative which had Video capabilitys aswel. So i searched the internet to check reviews as it was my first MP3 player and i wanted it to be good. About 98% of reviews were great! as i thought there could be a catch to something cheaper with video aswel as music and pictures. So i decided to go ahead and buy the Sandisk Sana 2GB MP3 PLAYER.My Order Arrived 2 days after. I opened the packet with excitement and i was shocked at how small the thing was, the pictures of it publishd on the web make it look quite bulky but its tiny yet very good looking with a neat look to it. It took me a while to figure out how to put music on it as i have never really used anything like it before but i figured it out you should use windows media player or above to syncronise your files onto the device which is extremly quick and easy to do , it has a very neat menu which is easy to use and has quality features.the only thing that might annoy some people is that you have to charge it using a USB port on a computer which must be switched but this is not a problem if you're always near a computer. This problem can be solved easily buy just buying a USB Charger that plugs into a main Plug which can be bought of Amazon. You can even transfer video's and Photos using the software that comes with this product which is very easy to use and is quite fast as i was dreading it might be slow. The sounds Quality is very good aswell you can set a MUSIC EQ using the settings which is simple to do. the Sansa is made from titanium which is extremly scrath resistent which is huge plus Because iPods are known to get scratched easily but saying this the player picks up oil thats on your hands and the player can be covered in fingerprint marks which can be cleared of ,just needs a clean cloth if it botheres you that much ,but wouldnt you rather have that than having a player thats full of scratches everywhere like the ipods?.I have really enjoyed using this player its just what i would describe as "Perfect" it has a bit of everything for your everyday needs i would fully recommend everyone buying it! its extremly fantastic and value for money!100% great

5 out of 5 stars Move over Apple....   July 31, 2006

I did my homework this time around. I had recently owned a SONY NW-A300 20 Gb hard disk player which was a complete and total let down. The functionality was limited and the software SONY forced user to use was abismal. I was originally swayed by the look of the SONY asn the initial reviews that it was to be the IPOD killer we've all waited for. I couldnt have been more wrong with that assumption. Needless to say, I sold it for less than half the original cost and this time around I did my homework researching the newest, most robust and competative players on the market when I stumbled upon the SanDisk Sansa e200 series.
First the thri-fecta was accomplished with this player, offering music, photos and video playback was remarkable. The Apple Ipod Nano only plays music and photos and can you believe costs more...
I received the player and found that it lived up to my expectations and I have since fallen literally in love with this little player. It does it all and very easily. Sound quality is sweet and the functionality is sweeter.
It plays videos which look crisp and watchable even on its small screen as do the photos.
I bought a 1gb MicroSD chip to expand the memory; my only issue with the player is you can only store music on the expandable memory as it would have been cool to use it soley for adding full movies, but beggars cant be chosers. For £99, you cant beat the SanDisk Sansa 2GB player.
Forget Apple... you cant even scratch this player....
