This is one of the best products that I have ever purchased. It accepts way more file types than my old Samsung YP-S5 and has a mega memory. People say that it is not as versatile as the Ipod touch but I disagree. It has a great screen that is really bright and I have also purchased a mini dock (a must have). The screen is a fingerprint magnet but the provided cloth cleans perfectly.The headphones that it is supplied with are terrible but this doesn't matter. The delivery was very fast as it came 2 days early. The unit was well packaged and in perfect condition. The only niggle I have is the battery life isn't as good as the Ipod but that's OK. Also the leg stand may seem a gimmick but it is really useful and I great for watching movies. The web browser is great as is the email system. The only problem is that the browser wont load many you tube videos and cant use BBC Iplayer. Overall a great product and well worth the quite hefty price tag

Recieved my Archos 5 120gb this week and so far so good. i took my time researching this and was put off by some of the reviews however i went for it and have not been let down. The picture and sound is excellent. Its easy to put data on and i have already put on a number of DVD's and the quality has been great. On the down side you do have to purchase the ad-ons which if like me you go for the top package will cost you £25 but ir is well worth it as it expands the number of file types that it will play. Effortless connection to the web and other applications. if like me you are looking for something for when you travel to watch videos and play music then i would go for this iver the ipod. it may not be as slick on the touch screen at time but makes up for it with its hard drive and the numerous functions it has.

I got this excellent device for Christmas and have since been filling it with music and videos. The screen is beatiful and the touch-screen works fine. I do recommend getting the D.V.R. though otherwise you may find it difficult to get T.V. programmes on it. It's not compatible with that many file types unless you buy additional plug-ins. Also, the wireless connectivity isn't very good. Despite this, definitely buy this product!

Have both 7 and 5 models. Only wish I had got larger memory versions. All the add ons mean you can do everything you need. Try using DVD FAB with them. You can use Archos 5 with Archos 7 connected by USB in order to store and play more videos. You can also connect a walkman such as a Sony Walkman. Alternatively you can use a small Feeecom drive to hold more videos. Note TV SNAP-ON ONLY WORKS WITH ARCHOS 5!
