Good quality video, stills and audio. Easy to drive through menus. Picks up files from network from remote hard disk, or computer. USB sockets allow drive or stick to be used - not tried.
Unit looks a bit plasticy, as does the remote, but don't be put off, as works really well.
Not found any file types it won't play yet. This functionality should be built into PVRs, but as it is not built into mine, this fills the gap well.

I bought this as a media player to repace a PC that i was using in my living room, expecting it to be poorer quality and not as useful, but less hassle as i wouldn't have to wait for it to boot up etc, in fact it is MUCH BETTER than the PC is was using, the response is very fast, it worked right out of the box with no set up problems at all and the picture quality is fantastic - in fact, i liked it so much i went back and bought a second one for my bedroom 2 days later!

at the time of writing I advise the MP800H_upgrade_code_V042_1124.rar upgrade because the next one up from this is for a new remote and disables the remote that is provided.
To install, unrar to a usb device, plug this into the player and click on software upgrade in settings, DO NOT POWER DOWN OR INTERUPT WHILE UPGRADING!!!!
after 3-5 min the player will reboot to factory settings, change language back to english and enjoy.
Firmware upgrade at your own risk!!!!

Had some difficulty getting it play some files I converted for my PS3, however, downgrading the firmware to a chinese one (The changing language back to English!), and it plays everything I have thrown at it!
Excellent peice of kit, saved me money building my own media centre and it's silent!

absolutely excellent but why you cant find it under amazon search .."media player" defies belief can someone tell expansys? I cant as Im not computer literate.thats why I have boxes full of Amazon double ordered items waiting to become christmas presents
available in black would be good too .
