Was given this for christmas. Ridiculously easy to use. If you have downloaded anything in wrong format inc. Itunes easy convert via included software. Longest bit was battery charge everything else just open media player click on sync, add songs to sync list and you're done.
Only minuses must have faulty ears as don't get on too well with ear buds also needs protective skin to protect screen.
Not sure why anyone would bother with ipod!
Over all fab (and won't deafen yourself either as there is safety volume limiter)

This is my second Sony MP3 player. My first one use sonic stage, which wasnt the most user friendly. BUT THIS ONE USES WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER. Pretty much the reason why I went for it, and the fact that its red (its got a bit of a pink ting in the flesh tho) Its so easy to use. Just plug it in to your computer and Drag and Drop.

I spent a long time looking at different MP3/4s, reluctant to buy the fashionable Ipod even though I like the look and feel of them, because I felt that they are far more highly priced than other makes for similar memory etc. I read the reviews and was impressed by the opinions about sound quality etc, so decided on the Sony.
Having received it, I am extremely pleased: it's a good memory size, the earphones are very comfortable (a first for me), sound quality is amazing, it's really easy to use, and looks and feels great. The only downside was finding a speaker dock which would charge the MP4 as well - everywhere only stocks ones for Ipods, a real pain. I ended up buying the Sony dock from Amazon, which wasn't a bad price when I compared it to the Ipod ones. That's neat too, so I'm a very happy bunny!

Some people say in their reviews of the product in black and silver sold by amazon the artwork doesn't transfer which is true when i used drag and drop but when i started using the supplied media manager program it worked 100% transfering the artwork perfectly. The only problem I have with the player is it must connect direct to the usb on the computer with the cable provided, you cannot use an usb extension cable inbetween the computer and the players cable just like an earlier sony player i have.

Fantastic player. Very clear video. Great battery life (40 hours when listening to mp3) and sound quality is better than any other player I have had. Plays the most common formats including mp3 and wma so you don't have to convert your music. The drag and drop facility means putting music, video and pictures onto the player is child's play. Forget the ipod nano, if you want a top quality player look no further that this. Great value for money (I got my 8gig player for under £55.00). Would recommend.
