Was recommended this item by a friend and read all the reviews available before I purchased it.
Having purchased it less than a week ago, I uploaded my play list and used it whilst swimming today for the first time. What can I say other than EXCELLENT.
Easy to upload songs, easy to shuffle if required, using software provided. Very easy to fit to goggle strap. Easy to use in the water. Sound quality is more than acceptable although some bass is missing.
I would recommend that you have a practice with the headphones on dry land first as they do require a bit of adjustment but are otherwise very comfortable in deed.
All in all the item does what it says on the tin and makes swimming so much more enjoyable - only one drawback though trying not to sing along whist swimming.

I really can't recommend this enough. I've had mine nearly a month and it has totally revolutionised my swimming sessions. I swim in an outdoor pool and the magic moments when a really good song kicks in just as the sun comes out are undescribable. I'm swimming double the distances I was a month ago just because I can stay in so much longer without getting bored. The biggest downside is that its really hard to get out of the pool now!
It took a couple of sessions to get the knack of getting the earpieces in right, but once I got it, they stayed put, no fiddling, no leaking, no problems. Mine shipped with the longer, finned earpieces that I have seen some reviewers complain about not getting (shipped July 2010) and I've found that the earloops definitely help keep it secure. The sound quality is good and the controls (though simple) are well designed so you can skip tracks and adjust volume as you swim very easily. The software to set playlists is very useful.
I had a minor problem that was partly due to my own carelessness - one earloop came loose, still worked perfectly well but I lost it. I hoped Speedo would replace/allow me buy a replacement loop so I contacted them via their website and they responded within hours and are sending me a complete set of earphones as a goodwill gesture.

I have bought this mp3 player recently and have found it amazing. No more boring days swimming!! It fits well inside your ears and does not come off during swimming. I am a Triathlete and use this for all my training. Excellent product for a reasonable price!!!!

An underwater mp3? I didn't rate it either, but this is brilliant. The ear plugs need practice to fit right, insert with guard not at right angles to ear, then move into place after.

I wasn't too sure that this would work but having seen someone swim with one I was determined to try it anyway. I was very pleased, it was easy to upload my songs and we were good to go. The ear pieces were a little fiddly but I soon got used to them and they felt quite secure. The unit was compact and lightweight and easy to use. It certainly helps relieve the tedium of swimming lanes and I would recommend the product.
