 Simple, quick charging, well made October 7, 2009

I have always been skeptical about purchasing expensive branded players.
Instead, I used to buy 1-2GB cheap players for 12-20 quid, which broke after a year. They also ate my batteries even when at rest. To get round this I used to buy rechargable ones, which I then lost. One day I thought - why don't I just pay more in the first place and have no replaceable batteries and last longer.
This player is a corker for the following reasons:
- 3 min USB charge = 3 hours - this is excellent and the money is worth it just for this feature
- Nice sound - usual crazy bass boost if you need it
- Drag and drop or syncs well with Windows Media player
- Easy navigation, play a: play list, album, random or just plough through your library
- Solid and well made.
- Light and small - mine hangs around my neck
Add this player to a pair of good ear phones and you are good to go.

Much improved over the model it replaced.
Good FM radio, uses standard PC software - not Sony's own, good all round prduct.
Size makes it ideal for running.
Really clear bright display.

The Sony NZWB 142FB is a great compact audio device to take your music and radio with you where-ever you go. The control buttons are intuitively easy to learn and use, even in the dark. The LCD display is very legible and the menu system is also intuitively easy to learn and use.
I examined reviews of other MP3 players and iPods before choosing the Sony and I haven't been disappointed. I have recommended this MP3 player to my sister and her partner and I would be happy to recommend it to anyone.
I would recommend the mains charger as an esiential accessory for when you are travelling and don't have access to a computer to charge the MP3.
Final word: There are lots of more sophisticated devices on the market that can play videos. If you want to watch a video get a TV or a computer monitor. If you want to listen to music and radio buy a Sony NZWB 142 FB

I must admit to not having seen or played with the product, as it was a present for my dad. However, he absolutely raves about it and when I asked him what rating I should give it on Amazon, he said, "5 star all the way". He loves it, can't believe "how cheap" it was and he especially likes how small and lightweight it is. I'm not sure if he uses Sony's music management s/w or if he just uses windows drag and drop, either way, he says "it's a doddle". Delivery was excellent as usual.

When you need a small, easy to use, portable Radio and MP3 player, look no further. It will go into the smallest of pockets without miles of lead, excellent quality sound, easy instructions. Easy to put on and take off music from the computer, just click and drag, brilliant. You can even record radio to listen later. What more do you want for the price!
