| Customer Reviews: Creative Zen 100 8GB August 20, 2010 Isobel B. Wroblewski (fife , scotland) Brilliant little MP3 player. Easy to use didn't need the instructions at all.Came with all software pre-loaded in player, just had to install into my Pc, then ten minuates later had a few songs loaded onto the Zen, worked first time, sound quality from the the Zen is one of the best, small and very light, plays for hours.Would buy a creative MP3 player again.
You get what you pay for August 21, 2010 Mr Anthony Daws This is a simple and effective mp3 player. It isn't as good a build quality as the ipod(s) but is maybe 1/3 of the price. I use it in the car using a jack lead to an aux socket on my car stereo, and the sound quality and volume level isn't up to the ipod, but you get what you pay for! Using my Sennheiser in-ear headphones, it's absolutely fine so if that's what you do, it's great value for money. Oh - and the Creative software it comes with is brilliant - it automatically rips all of the mp3s it can find, including those in Itunes!
Creative??? Should've stuck with the original formula... August 20, 2010 Janek As a big fan of the Creative series of Mp3 players, when it came to replacing my Zen Mosaic, I was drawn instantly to the Zen Style. The same size and basic features as the mosaic, with a modified design and bright bottom half.
However, I was absolutely gutted by the lack of quality of this MP3. My first complaint would be about the start-up. Every time that I turned on the MP3, I would be faced with a good five minutes of the "Rebuilding" screen. Worse, when I unplugged it from the computer, after charging or synchronising, I would once again be faced with this, and many times it would not load by itself and I would have to perform the "clean-up" and "reboot" which took another ten minutes. On the subject of synchronisation, there comes my next point. Video clips, it appeared, were entirely out of the question- files that would happily transfer to my previous Creative players would merely come up as error messages. This, however, did not bother me too much; the video for me was just an added bonus. The music transfer, unfortunately, did nothing to salvage my opinion. Files would- completely randomly - either not transfer, only transfer halfway, lose quality, become duplicated, or else lose the album art- something which I am something of a stickler for.
I really wish that this player had redeeming features, I was really looking forward to it, but regrettably I must say that Creative, in my opinion, should have stuck to the same happy formula as they use for their other players.
Having refused to give up my faith in the company, I now own a Zen MX. I am delighted with it, and would heartily reccommend it to anybody who wishes a break from i-pod mania.
Creative Zen August 14, 2010 Lucky I was very disapointed in this product, as i got this asuming it had a built in speaker as the older version does of this. when i researched the product i felt it was silly that it is only the 4gb and not the 8gb that has a built in speaker.
